So Just Who Is This Believing in Peach?

Leading this round is Suzuki Global Ventures, the investment arm of Suzuki Motor Corporation - yes, that Suzuki. They’ve backed us because we’ve stayed relentlessly focused on what matters: the customer experience. Trust. Simplicity. Transparency.

As Mike Sarchet, a Senior Director at SGV, put it, they were inspired by our “customer-first philosophy - putting satisfaction and trust before scale.” For them, a transparent and healthy used car market is essential for the future of mobility in Africa, and they believe we are the ones to build it.

We’re also incredibly honoured to be the first-ever African startup backed by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) - a global powerhouse choosing to invest in African mobility and the next generation of category-defining businesses. JBIC sees Africa as a region of “significant potential”, and Peach as the kind of “high-integrity, high-impact business” they want to back.

This is a major policy-based financial institution, and get this—we are the first African startup they’ve ever invested in! For them to get behind us means they believe we're building something stable, trustworthy, and made to last.

Our earliest believers, UTEC (University of Tokyo Edge Capital), who led our seed round in 2022, are back in this round, doubling down on their belief in our team, our technology, and our ability to scale with care.
