Role Description:
The Growth Intern will play a crucial role in vendor selection and management, procurement, documentation, and process management to ensure the seamless operation of vehicle-related services. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operational processes within a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the growth and efficiency of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specifically, the Growth Intern at Peach can expect to own the following elements:
Vendor Selection and Management:
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors for various services, including vehicle repairs, car washes, and other maintenance tasks.
- Evaluate vendors based on criteria such as reliability, quality of service, cost-effectiveness, and customer reviews.
- Negotiate terms of service, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure favorable conditions for Peach Tech.
- Identify and procure necessary parts and supplies for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of these items to Peach Cars HQ to minimize downtime.
Documentation and Tracker Management:
- Accurately record and file all CFM documents, ensuring that each document is easily accessible for reference including but not limited to check-in forms, job cards, handover forms, receipts, and invoices.
- Regularly update management trackers to reflect the status of procurement, vendor interactions, and documentation.
- Ensure that all entries are accurate and up-to-date, facilitating smooth operations and reporting.
- Track and analyze key metrics to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform Procurement and Growth strategies and decision making.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate key metrics to the growth team.
Process Management/Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the pre and post-commitment processes for CFM vehicles, ensuring that they are delivered effectively, efficiently, and on time to the Sales team for sale.
- Implement best practices to streamline operations and improve turnaround times.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on vehicles and services to maintain high standards.
- Provide feedback on any deficiencies or areas for improvement to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:
- Regularly update internal stakeholders within the Growth team and other departments on project statuses and progress.
- Ensure that all team members are informed of upcoming tasks, deadlines, and any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with the Inspection team for quality control inspections and engage with the Sales team to gather insights on customer perspectives.
- Actively engage with stakeholders, participate in business meetings, collaborate on projects to understand business needs and influence decision making.
Knowledge and Experience:
Education: Ongoing or recently completed Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Procurement, Finance or Logistics or related field.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage and correspond with internal and external stakeholders.
Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, etc) for document management and reporting.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and Independently when required.
Analytical and Data-Driven Thinking: Ability to leverage data to drive decision-making. Analytical thinking is essential to assess trends, draw insights, and inform decision making.
